Look after the kit you use.

Read the care and setup instructions supplied with your exact equipment first. Different materials and connectors need different treatment; a method suitable for one band is not automatically suitable for every piece in a kit.

Check before every session

  • Look along elastic bands and tubes for cuts, splits, thinning or other visible damage.
  • Inspect webbing, seams and hook-and-loop closures. The fastening should close properly.
  • Check clips, rings and bar connections for damage and correct engagement.
  • Make sure the training space and any permitted anchor are suitable for the intended movement.

Stop using a component if its condition or connection is in doubt. Do not tie, tape or combine other accessories into an improvised repair.

After training

Follow the product’s cleaning directions. Keep harsh chemicals, sharp edges and direct heat away from elastic materials. Let damp padding, straps and fabric dry before storing them in a bag. Leather grips need care appropriate to their leather and padded construction.

Store by component

Keep clips and other hard hardware from pressing into elastic bands. Avoid trapping bands beneath heavy objects or leaving them stretched in storage. Keep the instructions with the set so you can check the intended arrangement next time.

Return with a simple setup check

When you take a kit out after a break, identify the pieces and confirm the connections again. Start gently. A familiar color or remembered position is not a substitute for checking the equipment in front of you.
